topic: Boys hockey team
angle: hockey team loses first game

Team Endures loss

Greg Smidl- varsity hockey player
1. How well do you think the team is going to do this year?

I think we can turn things around and start to get some wins. We have a lot of talent and potential we just need to vitlize it.

2. Which team will be the biggest challenge this year and why?

Eden Prarie. They won state last year and still have a very solid squad. They'll be tuff to beat.

3. What gives you your motivation to play well on the ice?

The desire to be the best hockey player I can be, as well as improve everytime I step on the ice, and lastly playing badly sucks.

John Cobb- varsity hockey player
1. What do you tink about the team this year?

I think were a team with talented players and have potential to be good, but we will need to work hard for it and find our identity as a team.

2. When you get the puck, what is your favorite move to pull on a defender?

I'm not a flashy player, so my favorite move is going to the outside on a full sprint.

3.After your 2010 class leaves this year, how well will next years team be?

Next years team will be a young team that will have plenty of juniors, the will have a lot of potential.

Hockey Fan- Austin Lindeman
1. What is your favorite part of going to the hockey games?

The intenseness of the other fans and I love watching hockey.

2. Who is your favorite player on the team and why?

Jon Cobb, because he is the classiest kid in eastview wearing his sweater vests and corduroys. Plus he is pretty quick.

3. Why do you like hockey?
Because its fast, physical, and a low scoring intense game.
